Mark the date, add herbs and a freezer pouch in package with note to season the chicken fish or vegetarian dish. Forever friends!

YOUR CHARMING SHELF
Simply stated, it is super easy to create an eye-pleasing shelf of your favorite garden jars of herbs.

Step 1: Buy a plain shelf and rub in favorite shade acrylic paint. Seal.
​
Step 2: Buy a few super good-looking herb jars ~ sea salts ~ dried flavorings.
​
Step 3: Mix in only your dearest S&P shakers and onions for decor.
​
Step 4: Store a few onions and add a tiny terra-cotta pot! voila

BACK IN THE DAY
NYC ~ My entrepreneurial nature showed itself in my early 20's. Freelance promotional work magically appeared from cosmetic and fragrance companies. This particular job was for an Oscar de la Renta fragrance launch for "Ruffles". I designed ribboned baskets of flowers filled with charming product.

The baskets were delivered to fancy editors at Vogue, WWD, NYT etc. via messenger. It is amazing what you can squeeze into an apartment/design studio in a pinch. I was a crazy perfectionist with the product design. The apartment not so much.
HAND PAINT A PLATE
The best gifts can be hand painted if you're so inclined!
KNOW YOUR FRIEND WELL
Really look at your friend's house and choose their colors noting their style. Some people like roosters. Some definitely do not.
HERE: Lightly whitewash plate with a white flat paint to seal the wood on both sides for a rustic look.
Draw your fruits or veggies, add a recipe and ribbon. Work on a clever lettering - you can do it. Decorate the edges, maybe even peas? I do lots of peas.
Don't forget to sign the back with hugs and kisses.
